M80 closed overnight as police respond to ‘incident’

The M80 has been closed overnight as emergency services deal with an “incident” on the road.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the major road was closed around 2.29am on Tuesday morning at junction 7 near Haggs.
The road remains closed heading south due to a police incident involving concern for a person.
There is heavy congestion in the area on the M80 Southbound from the M9, with delays of around 48 minutes.
On the road to the M876, delays of 90 minutes are being reported.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The M80 is closed southbound near Haggs, Falkirk, due to a report of concern for a person.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.”
