Junior Simpson Retires from Stand Up Due To Illness

Comedian and writer Junior Simpson has retired from stand-up due to health issues. After a series of strokes he has been diagnosed with Vascular dementia.
A fundraising gig is being planned and in the meantime a GoFundme page has been set up by Peter Vincent, who helps to run Manford’s comedy clubs.
Simpson has been a popular performer on the comedy circuit for over two decades. He has appeared on TV shows including Never Mind the Buzcocks and Lily Savage’s Blankety Blank. He also test drove a car on Top Gear and appeared in the film Love, Actually as a wedding DJ.
You can donate to the The Junior Simpson Support Fund, which has a target of £5.5k here.
