Mirjam von Rohr, Bjarni Leifs Officially Win 26.1 CrossFit Open

Less than 24 hours after the score submission window closed for 26.1 of the 2026 CrossFit Open, the winners have been announced. Mirjam von Rohr and Bjarni Leifs were declared the winners of the first Open workout.
Von Rohr posted an astounding time of 9:50, the only athlete, male or female) to break the 10-minute mark. It also appears that CrossFit did not penalize von Rohr for stepping up one box jump in the workout. It was the 16th box jump following the round of 40 wall balls on the way back down, something that von Rohr admits happened.

Even with a minor penalty of 5-10 seconds, von Rohr would have still had the fastest time. Lucy Campbell was 44 seconds behind von Rohr’s official time.
Leifs wrapped up his workout in 10:59, the only male athlete to break 11 minutes. He did the workout at CrossFit Reykjavík right next to Rökkvi Guðnason, who finished 2nd in the world.
They were next to Bergrós Björnsdóttir who finished 5th in the world on the women’s leaderboard.
So three athletes, all who finished inside the top 5 in the world, did the workout together!
The top 3 finishers of 26.1 will receive prize money. The exact amount will be based on the final number of Open registrations. However, it appears that von Rohr and Leifs will take home over $5,200 USD.
The top 3 are:
Men
1. Bjarni Leifs
2. Rökkvi Guðnason
3. Colten Mertens
Women
1. Mirjam von Rohr
2. Lucy Campbell
3. Keira McManus
And, finally, yesterday I posed the question, “How long could you stay ahead of Mirjam with a 10-rep head start?” The answer is…not very long.
See how Rich Froning, John Young, Taylor Self, Manon Angonese and Emma Lawson (who was 29th in the world) fared!
