Kaskaskia College Board Recognizes CTE Month

The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees met February 23 on the college’s main campus, where members officially recognized February 2026 as National Career and Technical Education Month.
Trustees reaffirmed the college’s commitment to workforce development and preparing students for high-demand careers across District 501. Leaders say career and technical programs play a critical role in strengthening the regional economy by training a skilled and qualified workforce.
Board members in attendance included representatives from communities across the district, along with Student Trustee Meagan Mahlandt.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for March 23 at 6:30 p.m. on the college’s main campus.
