Team USA is back in action in the World Baseball Classic.
The United States opened the WBC with a 15-5 victory over Brazil on Friday, March 6.
U.S. and Yankees captain Aaron Judge didn’t wait long for his first highlight moment in the World Baseball Classic, as the three-time American League MVP launched a two-run home run in his first ever at-bat in the WBC, as the ball landed went 405 feet over the left field wall to give Team USA an early 2-0 lead in the first inning.
The U.S. was in control all game long but let Brazil hang around late as they only held an 8-5 lead going into the ninth inning.
That’s when Team USA put the pedal to the metal, as they scored seven runs in the top half of their final at-bats, as the team drew five walks and recorded three hits in the inning alone to put this one away for good.
Now the United States gets ready for the second half of a back-to-back against Great Britain, who dropped their first game of the WBC with an 8-2 loss to Mexico.
