One Irish Lotto player narrowly missed out on the €2,693,222 jackpot on Saturday, March 7, losing by just one number.

The winning numbers for Saturday night’s Irish Lotto draw are in, and while there was no outright winner of the €2,693,222 jackpot, the draw delivered a heart stopping twist for one player who came agonisingly close.
Missing out by just a single number, the player still scooped a consolation prize of €46,511 for correctly matching five of the six main numbers plus the bonus.
Beyond the €46,511 prize, the rest of the main draw offered more modest wins. Fifteen players who matched five numbers without the bonus snagged prizes of €1,859 each.
The Lotto Plus 1 jackpot of €1 million also went unclaimed, with the highest prize being €500 for 19 lucky players who matched five numbers.
Similarly the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot of €250,000 saw no winner, but 19 players will get €250 each for matching five numbers.
Meanwhile, the Irish Lotto Raffle awarded €500 to 81 winners.
These are among over 73,000 players across Ireland who won prizes in Saturday night’s draw. National Lottery officials are appealing for everyone to check their numbers carefully.
A spokesperson said: “There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot. In total, over 73,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including one winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €46,511.”
