Raiders signing veteran wide receiver to $35 million contract in free agency

The Las Vegas Raiders have added to their wide receivers room.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders are signing former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Nailor to a three-year, $35 million deal.
Nailor’s contract with the Raiders includes $24 million guaranteed.
“Raiders have agreed to terms with WR Jalen Nailor on a three year, $35 million deal including $23 million guaranteed,” Schefter reported.
A former sixth-round pick of the Vikings, Nailor has broken the 400-yard mark in each of the past two seasons. While not great, it’s fair to point out that he was in a crowded wide receivers room behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
The feeling in league circles is Nailor is much better than his production would indicate and his best days are ahead of him if he can get more looks.
He should get those looks in Las Vegas, as the Raiders don’t have much in their wide receivers room. The jury is still out on Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton, and Tre Tucker is the most established player in the room.
This should not be the final move for the Raiders at wide receiver, as they still need more help for incoming franchise quarterback hopeful Fernando Mendoza.
It’s possible we see another signing in free agency, and we would expect Las Vegas to use one of its many draft picks on a wideout, also.
