Weather alert for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Washington and Simcoe Highlands Saturday night

At 6:54 p.m. on Saturday, the NWS Pendleton OR released a special weather statement until 9 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Washington and Simcoe Highlands.
“Isolated strong winds of 30 to 40 mph accompanied by gusts of 40 to 50 mph have been observed in the eastern Columbia River Gorge. These winds are forecast to continue through evening in the eastern Columbia River Gorge as well as portions of the Simcoe Highlands and western areas of the lower Columbia Basin in Oregon. Motorists should be prepared for gusty westerly winds and cross winds. Travel may be difficult for high-profile vehicles,” explains the NWS.
This alert is in effect until 9 p.m.
