Former Dolphins top draft pick plans to sign with NFC South

The Miami Dolphins haven’t had the most success in recent drafts. 2022 might be the best example of their struggles, as Miami made four picks, and their top selection, linebacker Channing Tindall, didn’t make it to the end of his rookie deal.

However, after spending the 2025 season with the Arizona Cardinals, Tindall plans to sign a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tindall, 25, was an All-SEC linebacker and national champion at Georgia before the Dolphins took him in the third round (No. 102 overall) of the 2022 NFL draft.

In his first three years, he appeared in 44 games but played just 21 snaps on defense and recorded 16 total tackles. The team cut him last August, and he signed with the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad, where he went on to record eight tackles in seven games.

Now, he’s set to join soon-to-be-released Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in Atlanta.
