Pacman Jones says Bengals pushing for Maxx Crosby trade (take with a big grain of salt)

While the dust is starting to settle over a chaotic situation between the Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, Maxx Crosby, and former Bengals defensive lineman, Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati may be working on a big move. At least, that’s what another former Bengal in Adam “Pacman” Jones disclosed to social media Wednesday evening.

Per a video he shared on Twitter, Jones has “sources” that have confided in him the revelation that the Bengals are gearing up for a trade with the Raiders for Crosby.

“I’ve got really good sources,” Jones starts. “Maxx Crosby will be, might be in a Bengals uniform,” Jones continued while correcting himself. “We on the clock right now. I put that on my mama.”

Jones also laughed off the prevailing notions by the general masses of “Mike Brown not spending money” and franchise quarterback Joe Burrow needing to re-examine his future at the end of the video. His “sources” remain unclear, but it is worth noting that he has remained relatively close to the team—professionally, personally, and geographically—since his retirement.

Given some of the off-field history with Jones and the Bengals’ conservative ways in netting big-name veteran players, this is likely to be met with heavy cynicism. Still, these imploded situations, akin to the Baltimore/Crosby one, wherein the Bengals feel they can potentially secure something for far less than what was originally offered (two first-round picks), could mean they are at least exploring things.

We’ll see what, if anything, comes of this prediction.
