TSA temporarily closes Terminal C security checkpoint at Philadelphia International Airport

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The Transportation Security Administration temporarily closed the security checkpoint in Terminal C at Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday.
The agency is sending its employees to other terminal checkpoints to help them move faster.
The checkpoint at Terminal C is used for TSA Pre-Check.
The airport said TSA PreCheck lanes remain open in Terminal A East and at Terminals D and E.
Wait times have spiked due to the partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the TSA.
Regular TSA lanes in the rest of the terminals are still open.
After being screened at a checkpoint, passengers can walk from one terminal to another without exiting and re-entering security.
