Final Injury Report for Wizards-Magic: Will Trae Young, Franz Wagner Play?

The Washington Wizards are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Orlando Magic in an Eastern Conference matchup.

Washington enters Thursday’s game with a 16-48 record after losing on the road to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

In Tuesday’s loss to the Heat, Alex Sarr led the way for the Wizards as he recorded 28 points and six rebounds while Will Riley added 22 points and four rebounds of his own.

Now Washington will try to bounce back on Thursday as they face off against the Magic in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Orlando enters Thursday’s contest with a 36-28 record after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Wednesday night.

Desmond Bane led the way for the Magic in Wednesday’s victory as he ended the game with 35 points, six rebounds and six assists while Paolo Banchero recorded 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Wizards Injury Report: Will Trae Young, Bub Carrington Play?

For the Wizards, they have five players listed on their injury report, though Trae Young is not one of them.

Of course, Young missed Tuesday’s loss to the Heat due to injury management but he is off the injury report and will return against the Magic.

Washington has listed Bub Carrington as questionable due to right hip flexor soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game of the season.

If Carrington is sidelined, Tre Johnson and jaden Hardy could both be in line for increased roles.

The Wizards have ruled out Anthony Davis, Kyshawn George and Cam Whitmore as they all continue to recover from injuries while D’Angelo Russell remains away from the team.

On the other side, the Magic have two players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out both Franz Wagner and Anthony Black.

Orlando has ruled out Wagner due to left ankle injury management which has kept him out since February 19 and there is still no timeline for his return.

With Wagner still sidelined, Tristan da Silva, Jett Howard and Noah Penda will all likely conitnue to have larger roles.

The Magic have also ruled out Black due to an abdominal strain as he will miss his third consecutive contest.
