Last One Laughing returns in season two trailer

Last One Laughing is set to return to Prime Video soon, and anticipation is high following its first season premiere, which became the streaming platform’s most successful UK launch ever.

The British edition of the Prime Video reality series debuted its initial three episodes in March 2025, with each episode attracting over two million viewers.

Coming back for a second run, the comedy series will introduce a fresh line-up of comedians tasked with making their peers laugh without cracking up themselves.

As before, the last participant to maintain a poker face will clinch the trophy, with Bob Mortimer named as the victor of the first season.

Here’s everything you need to know about the release date, cast, and episode schedule for season two.

When does Last One Laughing season 2 start?

The addictive series has been divided into three parts, with the first trio of episodes landing on Prime Video on 19th March.

Episodes four and five are scheduled for 26th March, whilst the sixth episode, marking the series finale, will air on 2nd April.

The show is once again presided over by Jimmy Carr, who hinted: “What surprised me were a couple of players who I expected to join me and Roisin [Conaty] in the control room within 15 minutes.

“You’ll be amazed by how long some players last. There are two people whose gurning faces are up there with Daisy May Cooper’s facial expression, where you’re trying not to laugh, but in order not to laugh, you have to make a face that suggests you’re struggling with an intestinal problem.

“Some people find not laughing easier – take Romesh, who has a resting recently bereaved face.”

Bob Mortimer is out to defend his title

Who’s in the cast of Last One Laughing season 2?

This year’s roster includes:

Alan Carr

David Mitchell

Diane Morgan

Romesh Ranganathan

Amy Gledhill

Mel Giedroyc

Alan Carr

Gbemisola Ikumelo

Sam Campbell

Bob Mortimer is also back to defend his season one title.

Carr hinted that Sam Campbell is the one to keep an eye on, stating, “For me, the big discovery for people will be Sam Campbell.

“He’s been on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown a couple of times, he did Taskmaster, and we know him from the Edinburgh Fringe, but many viewers won’t know him.

“He’s a phenomenal talent. In show business, I think it’s not about where you are, it’s about your trajectory, and he’s kind of come from nowhere, and he’s suddenly going to be someone people are talking about.”

Is there a trailer for Last One Laughing season 2?

Indeed, earlier in March, Prime Video released the official trailer for season two, which teases Alan Carr and David Mitchell’s hilarious ‘Joker’ performances.

Fans also witness Mel Giedroyc delivering a revealing performance, whilst Sam Campbell and David Mitchell shout in each other’s faces as part of a “mad” challenge.

The hosts declared, “You got real competitive people in here,” as they watched the comedians from the control room.

As Bob Mortimer performs his take on a “randy dolphin” and audiences are treated to some hilarious guest appearances, it’s evident fans are in for a real treat this year.
