Oilers place Colton Dach on LTIR, recall Max Jones from AHL

The Edmonton Oilers will be without one of their trade-deadline acquisitions for the foreseeable future.
The team placed Colton Dach on long-term injured reserve on Friday after the forward suffered an injury Wednesday night against the Colorado Avalanche.
Dach, acquired by the Oilers alongside Jason Dickinson from the Chicago Blackhawks, laid a heavy hit on Avalanche defenceman Josh Manson and appeared to be in immediate pain.
He remained on the bench briefly before heading down the tunnel.
Tuesday’s game was Dach’s third with the Oilers. In that time, he’s picked up one assist.
Through 55 total games this season split between the Blackhawks and Oilers, the St. Albert, Alta., native has three goals and 10 points.
In a corresponding move, the Oilers announced they recalled winger Max Jones from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors.
