Former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Alexis Bellino shared concerning photos revealing she had gotten a black eye. Before fans could speculate about how she got the injury, Bellino reassured her fans that it was the result of an accident at home involving her hair dryer.
The Instagram account @thesaltychippodcast reposted the alarming photo of Bellino and shared the former Housewives’ story of the accident.
“Alexis Bellino has posted alarming photos of herself on her Instagram, sporting a black eye. Now she says she tripped and knocked her hair dryer into her eye, and that’s how she got it,” the podcaster shared.
“And many fans online are obviously speculating it has to do with something with John Janssen,” the podcaster continued, adding that she and RHOC star Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend recently got married.
However, Bellino wanted to make it clear that it was simply an accident. “It has nothing to do with John and it was just a silly fall,” the podcaster said Bellino told her followers.
Many fans commented on the podcaster’s post, including RHOC star Tamra Judge, who appeared to laugh at how Bellino would clumsily wind up with her injury.
“Oh God 😂😂😂,” Judge wrote in the comment section of the podcaster’s video.
Fans also defended her marriage to Janssen, noting that followers need to stop making these extreme assumptions. “Oh stop!! He adores her ❤️,” a fan wrote. “This photo has been showned before on IG and Alexis then explained it all!! People are reaching, Tamra is right lol.”

Fans were surprised to learn that Bellino was dating Beador’s ex-boyfriend. According to Us Weekly, Bellino began dating Janssen in late 2023, just a year after his split from Beador. The former couple dated for four years, and their relationship was heavily documented on the Bravo series.
In March 2024, while speaking to Us Weekly at their red-carpet debut at the DirectTV Oscars Viewing Party, Bellino defended their relationship. “It started as a friendship, formed into more and here we are. [And] social media really can be very evil. So it’s been a lot, but now we just finally decided we’re taking the bull by the horns and going full force,” she said.
Janssen proposed to Bellino after nine months of dating in August 2024, with the former RHOC star telling People, “It was just the two of us, with heartfelt words and tears. It was everything — simple, genuine, and full of love.”
According to People, on October 3, 2025, the couple wed in a beautiful rustic-themed wedding attended by 140 of their closest family and friends in Laguna Beach, California. Both Bellino’s and Janssen’s children from previous marriages played a “meaningful role” in the wedding.
“This wedding was absolutely a dream come true,” she told the outlet. “Emotional, joyful, sacred, and so us. Truly the most magical day of our lives.”
