Canadians Tracker: Yellamaraju off to red hot start in Round 3 at The Players

The weekend has arrived at The Players Championship with four out of the six Canadians in the field finishing inside the cut line as they now guarantee themselves a share of the massive $25 million purse set to be handed out on Sunday.

Corey Conners (2:25 p.m. ET), Taylor Pendrith (11:00 a.m. ET), Nick Taylor (10:50 a.m. ET), and PGA Tour rookie Sudarshan Yellamaraju (9:35 a.m. ET) will all tee it up at TPC Sawgrass for the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Mackenzie Hughes and A.J. Ewart both finished well outside the cut line.

Winnipeg native Yellamaraju, who was in danger of missing the weekend, started his Saturday with four straight birdies to start 4-under on the day and 3-under overall.

Taylor will tee off nearly an hour later than the rookie, as the Abbotsford, B.C. native shook off an early bogey on Friday by making par on 14 straight holes to finish two shots inside the cut line.

Pendrith gets going next after he bounced back nicely on Friday with a 3-under 69 after shooting 2-over in the opening round on Thursday.

After the conclusion of play on Friday, Conners sits in a tie for fourth on the leaderboard at 8-under through 36 holes. The Listowel, Ont. native will be the final Canadian to tee off on Saturday.
