Caitlin Clark, Team USA Roll Over Italy in FIBA World Cup Qualifier

Caitlin Clark and Team USA once again rolled to victory in a FIBA World Cup Qualifying game, as they beat Italy, 93-59, in Puerto Rico on Saturday. Clark finished with 12 points and five assists in the win.
As a reminder, the U.S. women have already qualified for the World Cup—which will take place in September in Germany—but are using these preliminary games as a way to improve their chemistry and get to know each other’s playing styles better. Team USA improved to 3-0 with comfortable wins over Senegal, Puerto Rico and now Italy.
Kahleah Copper led all scorers with 15 points and was among five players who put up double-digits in Saturday’s rout. Next up for Team USA is New Zealand, who they will face Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.
