Sunday, March 15th

12:15 CET – It’s almost time for the football to kick off on what is a packed Sunday of action! First up today, we have a lunchtime fixture to enjoy from Serie A, where Verona host Genoa.

Verona are very much in the thick of a relegation battle, mired down in 19th as it stands. And while Genoa are up in 14th, they are just six points from danger. All that means both sides have plenty to play for today, and it should be a cracking high-stakes clash.

23:00 CET – In the final LaLiga match of the evening, Real Madrid have thrashed Elche 4-1 to reduce Barcelona’s lead at the top of the standings to one point, until the Catalans host Sevilla on Sunday at least.

22:56 CET – In a huge blow to their title chances, Manchester City have dropped points at West Ham, drawing 1-1, to leave Arsenal (who won earlier) nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, albeit having played a game more.

City huffed and puffed with 24 shots and an xG of 2.05, but couldn’t get over the line in a result that feels pivotal with only seven full rounds to play.

22:41 CET – In the final Serie A match of the day, Juventus have edged Udinese 1-0 away to break back into the top four for now, and keep their Champions League hopes very much alive. Either Roma or Como, who face off on Sunday, would leapfrog the Old Lady with a win tomorrow, however.

Jeremie Boga scored the winner for Juve – his third goal in as many matches!

21:53 CET – At half-time in East London, West Ham and Man City are level at 1-1 with Bernardo Silva and Konstantinos Mavropanos getting on the scoresheet.

21:32 CET – Manchester City are 1-0 against West Ham thanks to a wonderful, possibly unintentional, dinked finish from Bernardo Silva that floated beautifully over Mads Hermansen and into the goal.

20:33 CET – It’s all over in the two London clashes in the Premier League, with Newcastle edging Chelsea 1-0, and Arsenal going 10 points clear thanks to a 2-0 win over a stubborn Everton.

The headlines will be hogged by Max Dowman this evening, however, who scored the Gunners’ second late on to become the youngest scorer in Premier League history!

Incredible stuff, and it feels like Mikel Arteta’s side might just have one hand on the trophy now. Next up, Manchester City take on West Ham away, needing a win to cut that lead back down to seven points.

20:28 CET – Max Dowman has scored a second to seal the win for Arsenal and, in doing so, becomes the youngest scorer in the Premier League ever at 16 years and 73 days! He’s also Arsenal’s all-time youngest senior goalscorer.

20:20 CET – Viktor Gyokeres has scored late to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead against Everton. It wasn’t a pretty goal, but it feels massive for the Gunners, who looked like they were running out of time and ideas. Only minutes to go now.

20:00 CET – We’ve got two interesting late games to enjoy this evening. Manchester City are facing West Ham away from 21:00 CET in the Premier League, looking to keep the heat on Arsenal in the title race.

At the same time, Real Madrid host Elche in LaLiga, themselves looking to keep pace with Barcelona at the top, who they trail by four points.

17:36 CET – Bayern Munich have battled to a potentially vital draw at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this afternoon, as despite being reduced to nine men, the Bavarians held firm under late pressure (and a disallowed goal for the hosts) to share the spoils with Kasper Hjulmand’s side.

Luis Diaz, who scored the equaliser for Vincent Kompany’s men in the second half, was sent off for two yellow cards, adding to Nicolas Jackson’s earlier dismissal.

It was a spirited display from the league leaders, who remain nine points clear of Borussia Dortmund in second, despite Die Borussen claiming a comfortable 2-0 victory over Augsburg.

The Bavarians have it all to do in the second half.

Alexander Sorloth, Nicolas Gonzalez and Alex Baena all start for Atleti, while Julian Alvarez, Antoine Griezmann and Ademola Lookman drop to the bench.

Both clubs are in the larger midtable, only separated by four points as it stands. But there are just six points between Girona in 15th and the relegation zone, so you best believe the Catalans will be desperate for a win today to give them some further security.

In France, Marseille kept up their Champions League charge with a narrow 1-0 win over Auxerre, who remain in the bottom three. While over in Germany, Borussia Monchengladbach beat St. Pauli 2-0 to move further away from danger in what is a very congested bottom half of the Bundesliga.

In LaLiga, Villarreal dropped points on the road at Alaves, drawing 1-1, meaning Atleti would go third today with a win. And over in Serie A, Torino thrashed Parma 4-1 to put themselves nine points above the relegation zone, for now.
