This year’s Oscars gave a former Best Actress winner a nomination in a highly unexpected category.
Natalie Portman, the A-list superstar who won an Academy Award for Black Swan, is nominated in Best Animated Feature as a producer of the film Arco. She also has two voice roles in the English dub.
Portman hasn’t been nominated for an Oscar since 2016’s Jackie, so it’s fascinating to see her pop up all these years later as a producer on a French animated film. It’s her fourth nomination overall.
We’re sure that Portman will get nominated in an acting category one day, but it’s sure cool to see her recognized here.
