Former Eagles RB AJ Dillon to sign one-year deal with Panthers

Former Eagles running back AJ Dillon is signing a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, giving the veteran power back a fresh opportunity in a new offense for the 2026 season. After missing the 2024 season with a neck injury, Dillon joined the Philadelphia Eagles after spending his first five seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, the team that drafted him. Dillon’s playing time ended in Week 6 against the Giants after fumbling a kickoff that rolled out of bounds inside the Eagles’ five-yard line, and then subsequently lost a fumble later in the drive. Dillon didn’t see the field again until the Week 18 Commanders game, playing two snaps.
Returning from a neck injury, Dillon saw action in seven games but watched his playing time significantly decrease after the Eagles acquired Tank Bigsby. Overall, Dillon played in seven regular-season games, caught three passes for 21 yards, and was inactive for the Eagles’ playoff game.
