Los Angeles Lakers Make Austin Reaves Announcement

On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Florida to take on the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers are coming off a 134-126 victory over the Miami Heat (also in Florida).

Austin Reaves finished the win with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists while shooting 5/12 from the field and 2/7 from three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.

For Saturday’s game, the Lakers have announced that Reaves will be listed as questionable.

Law Murray of The Athletic wrote: “Austin Reaves (hip) is questionable for Saturday at Orlando; Maxi Kleber (back) remains out

Orlando Magic report that Anthony Black (abdominal), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Franz Wagner (ankle) remain out. Wendell Carter Jr. (rib, killed Lakers last month) is questionable”

Reaves is in the middle of another excellent year with averages of 23.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range in 44 games.

He went undrafted out of Oklahoma in 2021.

The Lakers are on fire, as the third seed in the Western Conference with a 45-25 record in 70 games.

They are in the middle of an eight-game winning streak (and have won nine out of their last ten).

Following the Magic, the Lakers will visit the Detroit Pistons on Monday night in Michigan.

On the road, they are 22-13 in 35 games.

The Magic are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-31 record in 69 games.

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak (but have won seven out of ten).
