Ukraine handball team exited World Cup qualifiers after narrow loss to Slovakia

The Ukrainian men’s handball team has prematurely ended its bid to reach the 2027 World Championship after losing in a two-legged tie to Slovakia.
Over the two legs, the Ukrainians lost 56:58 (first leg 24:27, second leg 32:31).
Slovakia advanced to the third round of qualifying and will face North Macedonia in that round.
