The Valspar Championship offered a $9.1 million purse with winner Matt Fitzpatrick claiming $1,638,000.
Fitzpatrick finished second to Cameron Young during a dramatic finish at The Players last week, and came from behind Sunday with a 13-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to help seal the deal. He shot a 3-under 68 in the final round.
Sungjae Im was looking for a wire-to-wire win but finished T-4 after four bogeys on his first 10 holes at Innisbrook’s Copperhead course. Im still took home almost $400,000, so not too bad. Four times that is always better, though.
