Arrests at Oxfordshire town’s McDonald’s as boiler ‘thieves’ caught mid meal

Thames Valley Police said that on Thursday, March 19, they caught two suspected thieves at the McDonald’s on Milton Interchange “grabbing a cheeky post-theft bite to eat”.
The force’s police community support officers (PCSOs) had previously been informed that the duo had been taking boilers from a development in Wantage, with the service publicly praising the actions of its officers.

“Our brilliant PCSOs jumped straight into action, using their local know‑how to predict the escape route. And guess what? They were bang on.
“They soon found the suspect vehicle parked up at McDonald’s on Milton Interchange — grabbing a cheeky post‑theft bite to eat.
“They quietly sat up on the car and guided other officers in.”
One of the two suspects tried to make a run for it, only for a PCSO to step in.
