Johnny Depp isn’t in any rush to fall in love again.
The 62-year-old actor seems to have put dating on pause in order to focus on his career and heal from his highly-publicized divorce and defamation battle with ex-wife Amber Heard.
“Johnny’s got a stronger relationship with his guitar than he does with any woman right now, and he’s fine with that,” an insider exclusively tells the National Enquirer. “Flings and hookups notwithstanding, he’s not desperate to shack up at the moment. He’s being patient and biding his time.”
A serial monogamist, Depp was in a decades-long relationship with French actress-model Vanessa Paradis, with whom he shares daughter Lily-Rose, 26, and son Jack, 23, before marrying Heard, 39, in 2015.
“If he’s going to really let somebody in, it’s going to be for the long haul,” explains the source. “He’s looking for somebody to spend his golden years with, and he won’t rush that process.”

Depp is committed, just to his work.
As Enquirer previously reported, the Oscar nominee is hoping to make a Hollywood comeback with his new movie Ebenezer, a dark, supernatural adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novella costarring Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, Rupert Grint and Ian McKellen.
“The priority at the moment is rebuilding and bolstering his fortune, and he’s well on his way to doing that with his first studio move in years,” the insider reveals. “Ebenezer [is] coming out later this year. He’s also closer than ever to returning for at least one more Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Romance just isn’t on his radar right now.
“Johnny deserves happiness as much as anybody does,” insists the insider, but he’s “too guarded and introverted to go on a blind date or let himself get set up.”
