Alison Pill, Brian d’Arcy James Among 24 Cast In ‘Rabbit, Rabbit’

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix‘s upcoming hostage thriller series Rabbit, Rabbit is rounding out its cast, adding 24 in recurring roles. Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Brian d’Arcy James (Spotlight) Spencer Reed Tomich (The Prom) and Susannah Flood (Broadway’s Liberation) have been cast opposite Adam Driver and Regina Hall, along with Ada Bland (Capsized), Alex Morf (Mindhunter), Annie Golden (Orange is the New Black), April Matthis (Not Suitable for Work), Ashlyn Maddox (The Four Seasons), C.J. Wilson (The Gilded Age), Darion Basco (NCIS), Jason Schmidt (The Outsiders), Jeremy Gill (Cat Person), Kai Drake (Goosechase), Karoline (A Different Man), Liz Caribel Sierra (Blink Twice). Mac Brandt (Good Night and Good Luck). Mike Houston (Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2), Patch Darragh (56 Days), Reed Birney (The Menu), Sam Vartholomeos (House of Dynamite), Samantha Jones (Murder at the End of the World), Sara Gutierrez (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Thomas Francis Murphy (Manhunt).
Production is underway in New Jersey in Rabbit, Rabbit, which hails from creator/showrunner Peter Craig, director Philip Barantini and MRC.

In Rabbit, Rabbit, when escaped convict J-Will (Driver) is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop, he takes hostages in an effort to bargain for his freedom. But the standoff soon escalates into an unmanageable social experiment with his captives, as well as an emotional poker match with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator (Hall) trained in “tactical empathy.”

Driver executive produces alongside Craig and Adolescence‘s Barantini, who is set to direct the series. Also executive producing are Samantha Beddoe for her and Barantini’s It’s All Made Up Productions and Bryan Unkeless for his and Craig’s Night Owl Stories banner. The series stems from the first-look deal MRC has with Craig and Night Owl Stories.

Rabbit, Rabbit will join a lineup of other Netflix productions filmed in New Jersey including Happy Gilmore 2, The Rip, A House of Dynamite and The Beast in Me as well as the upcoming films Office Romance, The Whisper Man, Little Brother, Here Comes the Flood and 72 Hours.
