A cyclist has died following a collision involving two vehicles, resulting in part of the A130 in Essex being shut by police.
Essex Police officers were called to the incident on the A130 northbound Rettendon Turnpike at about 00:20 GMT on Thursday.
The road has been shut between Howe Green and Rettendon and is expected to remain closed for several hours, with drivers being told to plan their journeys.
Police said they would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a cyclist in black clothing on a white mountain bike between the A1114 in Chelmsford and the A130.
