Matthew Tkachuk is always finding new ways to score.
The Florida Panthers forward scored a highlight-reel goal during the first period of Saturday’s game against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena, sliding the puck between his legs and passed Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin.
After stealing the puck in the Islanders’ zone, Tkachuk – while being chased by three Islanders – slipped the puck between his legs and pushed it to the back of the net to finish the score.
The goal gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead after the first frame.
Oh, and Tkachuk also scored the game’s first goal.
