Xbox is testing a new Game Pass tier called “Triton” with only first‑party games

Thanks to @redphx over on X (formerly Twitter), we may have an early look at a possible new Game Pass tier.
Redphx regularly digs into Game Pass updates, sharing new additions, updates to “Stream your own game,” and even behind-the-scenes updates. They does this by checking data from Microsoft’s public-facing backend, which can sometimes reveal changes before they appear to the public.

We are recently fresh off the rumors that Asha Sharma is looking at ways to evolve Game Pass. This includes suggestions that Netflix could be bundled in, as well as potential efforts to reduce the cost of the service.

Would you be interested in a new Game Pass tier that only includes first party games?
I am not entirely sure how I feel about a new tier like this. Personally, I would prefer options that let me remove things like Fortnite Crew and other additions I do not use from my Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Paying for features I do not care about can feel frustrating, which leads me to agree with Jen’s recent piece on Game Pass, which I highly recommend you give a read and check out.
