Coronation Street airs huge discovery for Gary Windass as Theo Silverton caught out in early ITVX release

The walls are finally closing in on evil Theo Silverton (played by James Cartwright) on Coronation Street.

On Thursday’s episode, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) overheard Theo shouting at new husband, Todd (Gareth Pierce) just one day after their surprise wedding.

In Sunday’s episode, George started to consider the weight of what he’d heard and spoke with some trusted friends and family including Summer (Harriet Bibby), Glenda (Jodie Prenger), Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Christina (Amy Robbins).

They all agreed that there was definitely a disturbing element within their relationship as they shared their own accounts of what they’d seen since the couple had been together.

When Todd arrives and George tentatively asks him if what they suspect is true, Todd leaps to Theo’s defence – not that George believes any of it.

Later on, Sarah confided in Gary (Mikey North) about everything she’d heard and though he wasn’t sure at first, he started to realise the evidence was mounting up and perhaps Theo was what they suspected.

Gary spotted Todd heading back to the flat, visibly bracing for another round of hell when Gary offered to come in with him for a cup of tea.

In the flat, Theo, clearly unaware of his guest, started to shout abuse, and quickly reeled it in when he saw Gary – who was categorically not impressed.

Accept and continue

In a tense showdown, Gary let Theo know he was on to him, as were Todd’s friends which left Theo visibly rattled.

That night, Theo had clearly made a very quick plan and announced to a shocked Todd that they were moving to Belfast for a fresh start.

Will George and co. be able to get Todd the help he so desperately needs before it’s too late?
