Erika Kirk Slammed As Husband’s Pal Questions Alleged Succession Audio

Candace Owens has continued her criticism of Erika Kirk, with her latest remarks focusing on an audio clip played at AmFest.

The recording suggested that the late Charlie Kirk wanted his wife to carry on his role if he was unavailable. However, Owens questioned the authenticity of the audio, arguing that a video recording should have been presented instead.

Owens had previously received a cease-and-desist letter from Erika Kirk, but she has since indicated that she does not intend to comply with its demands.

Why Candace Owens Finds The Charlie Kirk Succession Audio Questionable

In the wake of AmFest, a yearly convention organized by Charlie’s Turning Point USA, Owens has taken another swipe at his widow over a moment during the event.

Just as the event commenced, an alleged audio recording of Charlie expressing his desire for his wife to assume control of the organization should anything occur to him was played.

It is likely that the audio was played to reassure TPUSA faithful that Erika remains the right person to continue Charlie’s work, but Owens found its authenticity questionable and wondered why there was no video.

“Why won’t they release the video? Surely, if they captured the audio, they have the video,” the podcaster said on X.

“The claim made is that at an Aspen retreat weeks before his death, Charlie answered a donor who asked ‘what would happen if you died,’ to which he replied that he would want Erika to take over. I would like to see the video of that,” she added.

Candace Owens Says Releasing The Video Would Help Erika Kirk Dispel The Narrative That She Wanted Her Husband’s Position

In the comment section of Owens’ post, several netizens agreed with her stance on the surprise succession audio.

One in particular said that “releasing the full video would settle everything instead of raising more questions around context and credibility.”

Owens responded with “precisely” and went on to goad the mother of two to post a video of the same claims.

“It would certainly go a long way [in] dispelling the narrative that Erika wanted his position for herself. Seems like an easy PR win to release the footage,” she added.

Another person commented, “I’ve been asking for proof of this, especially with AI. For something so big and serious, there should be official documented proof.”

Some netizens showed support for Erika, saying the release of a video of the claim narrated in the audio still won’t be satisfactory for Owens.

“The next stance would be that the entire video is faked and generated by Ai. Or something of the sort,” one wrote.

“No matter what Erika does, you will just use anything to mock and slander her, so why should she give you anything, especially when it’s NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS,” another remarked.

For months since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, his associate Candace Owens has kept the right-wing influencer’s wife, Erika Kirk, under intense scrutiny, repeatedly criticizing her actions and promoting various conspiracy theories about her alleged involvement in his death.

Her attack took a more heated approach more recently with the release of “Bride of Charlie: An Investigative Series,” aimed at exposing what she deems to be lies, discrepancies, or inconsistencies.

In the series, Owens made a number of damning claims about Erika, including questioning several details about her childhood and parents’ divorce.

She also claimed that the mother of two was a compulsive liar based on her alleged personal experience with her.

“What alarms me about Erika isn’t so much the fact that she lies, which we will prove to you over and over again, but it’s also the fact that I don’t know that she’s aware that she’s lying,” Owens said in the series.

While Erika has mostly refrained from responding to Owens’ criticism verbally, she has taken legal action against the podcaster with a cease and desist.

Upon receiving the cease-and-desist, Candace Owens issued a strongly confrontational response that suggested she had no intention of complying with the request outlined in the letter.

“It’s gay to send a legal letter,” Owens also mocked Erika. “It’s very gay. You shouldn’t do it. Especially if you can just pick up the phone and call someone.”

“People are open to changing their minds. Open to being wrong. You just have to call someone,” the podcaster added in her response.
