Actor Peter Ash looks unrecognisable in his latest TV role since leaving Coronation Street.

The actor played Paul Foreman in the ITV soap, who left the cobbles two years ago following a heartbreaking storyline that involved his character being diagnosed with MND.

Following his exit, which left many Coronation Street fans in tears, Peter told The Daily Star’s HotTV column that he was going to enjoy taking some time off following his character’s story arc, which left him exhausted both emotionally and physically.

Although he delved back into the acting pool last year in a panto, Peter will be back on screens this week as he stars in a new Channel 5 drama.

Sharing images of himself in his new role on both X and Instagram, the former soap star wrote: “The Teacher’ @channel5_tv Monday 30th March, 9pm.’
