Nottingham Forest are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer transfer window.
According to Sport Witness, Nottingham Forest are keeping close tabs on FC St. Pauli shot-stopper Nikola Vasilj.
Vasilj was St. Pauli’s Player of the Season last term as they managed to avoid relegation, and he is once again proving pivotal this year.
He’s playing so well at the moment…😍
The 30-year-old is also being watched by Brighton and Hove Albion, who operate their recruitment with a data-led approach.
Vitor Pereira’s side could land Vasilj on a free transfer in the summer, but only if St. Pauli drop to the second tier.

Nottingham Forest target Nikola Vasilj has impressive underlying data
Given Brighton’s interest, it’s evident that Vasilj’s underlying data is very impressive.
With that said, according to FotMob, the 24-cap Bosnia international ranks second in the Bundesliga for goals prevented this season.
He also sits third for saves per 90, evincing his terrific shot-stopping ability, which is clearly catching the eye of Pereira and his chiefs.
The potential Vasilj signing has all the hallmarks of the Sels transfer a couple of years ago, as he’s an experienced goalkeeper impressing overseas.
Clearly, Forest chiefs aren’t looking to sign a younger goalkeeper for the future; they want someone ready for the here and now.
It’s also worth noting that Vasilj was the penalty hero for Bosnia when they knocked out Wales last week, as he saved the crucial spot-kick from Forest star Neco Williams.
