Gas Up 8.5 Cents, Breaks $2 Barrier in Metro

For the first time since 2022, the price of gas in this province has surpassed the $2 dollar mark.

The PUB, which is now adjusting the price of most fuels five days a week, put the price of gas up another 8 and a half cents last night.

The price of diesel is down by about 7 cents on the island and drops 3 and a half cents in Labrador West.

Furnace oil costs about 6 cents less. Stove oil in Lab West is down by about a cent and a half.
