Goo Goo Dolls cancel second Ontario show due to illness

Hours before they were to take to the stage, a sudden illness forced American rockers the Goo Goo Dolls to cancel their concert Monday in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Goo Goo Dolls have announced that their Wednesday night show in Oshawa, Ont., has been cancelled.
In a statement, the Buffalo-based rock group known for their ‘90s hit “Iris” said it “pains” them to have to cancel tonight’s show at the Tribute Communities Centre due to illness.
The band did not say which member of the band is sick.
It’s the second Ontario date of the American rockers’ spring tour that they’ve been forced to cancel. On Monday, the band announced that it was cancelling its Sault Ste. Marie concert that night due to illness.
They said they do plan on performing in Hamilton at the TD Coliseum on Thursday.
Fans who purchased tickets to tonight’s show with a credit card (either online or in-person at the venue) will be refunded automatically, the Tribute Communities Centre said in a news release.
Those who purchased a ticket in person at the venue with any other form of payment must return to the venue by April 30 to obtain their refund.
