Eir Aoi performs “MONSTER”, opening song for “Classroom of the Elite” 4th Season

Singer-songwriter Eir Aoi will perform MONSTER, the opening theme of the anime Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year, First Semester, set to air April 1. The track marks a new era in Eir Aoi’s career under the music label Lantis.
Fans can purchase MONSTER on April 22 in three formats: Type A, B, or C. Regardless of the version, the CD features the title track alongside three additional songs. Further information will be confirmed on a later date.
Eir Aoi expressed her excitement about her involvement in the anime, having written the lyrics as well as performing the track:
I’m delighted to be singing the opening theme for “Classroom of the Elite”, a series loved by many people. I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be involved in its production.
This song is quite intense, with the theme of how Ayanokoji-kun is seen as a “monster” by those around him. I hope you’ll enjoy this track, where I explore a new side of my music through a digital rock sound, along with the anime.
Following the anime song announcement, British anime convention Hyper Japan Festival confirmed Eir Aoi as a headlining guest. UK fans will have the chance to be part of the concert on July 25, the second day of the festival.
Eir Aoi is one of the major figures in the anisong world. Since her 2011 debut with the ending theme of anime Fate/Zero, she performed for major franchises such as Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online (including the spin-off series Sword Art Online: Gun Gale Online), Aldnoah Zero, and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.
