What is NRR? How is it Calculated in the IPL?

NRR serves as the tiebreaker when multiple teams are tied on points. But how does it work?

Well, it’s a relatively simple math equation.

NRR is total runs scored divided by total overs faced, then subtracted by total runs conceded divided by total overs bowled. The result of this equation becomes the team’s NRR value (according to ESPNcricinfo).
