According to the tabloids, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is a mere two months away. The pair are rumored (rumored!) to be wed on June 13 at a venue down the street from Swift’s Rhode Island estate, but we can’t really get started on that yet. First, these two need to go on their bachelor and bachelorette trips, and thanks to two new reports, we have some idea of what the couple has planned to celebrate their upcoming nuptials. Thankfully, they aren’t the kind of people to do a joint party.
On Thursday, a source told Us Weekly that Swift might actually have not one but two bachelorette trips so that “all of her closest friends can be there.” “There could be multiple getaways, and they all will be extremely private, with just Taylor and her close girlfriends,” the source said, adding that possible destinations include New York City, Nashville, and the Bahamas. Imagine you’re in Nashville and you spot Swift and the Haim sisters rolling down Broadway on a Pedal Pub, all of them in matching cowboy hats.
Meanwhile, Swift’s friends (possibly her bridesmaids?) are apparently hatching their own plan for her. Another source told Us Weekly that the singer’s friends — including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, the Haims, Kylie Kelce, Brittany Mahomes, and her high-school bestie Abigail Anderson — are “planning something special for Taylor ahead of her big day.” My guess is a male stripper who whips an already signed NDA out of his skivvies.
As for Kelce’s bachelor party, “Page Six” reports that it will actually be very “chill.” Kelce is purportedly all set to head down to the Bahamas at the end of May with a crew that includes his brother Jason and Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes. Yes, Swift is also reportedly considering the Bahamas, but the two plans seem pretty separate.
“It’ll be chill,” the source told “Page Six.” “Just guys having a good time.” Per this insider, the plan is to rent a big house, go golfing, and then have dinner at home. Kind of the most “I’m 36” bachelor party you can imagine, and I respect him for that.
Consider this the official kickoff of Swift-Kelce wedding season. Before we know it, we’ll be seeing the world’s blurriest drone footage of Swift walking down the aisle. In the meantime, there’s much to speculate about, like which of Swift’s friends will be in charge of procuring penis-shaped straws for her bachelorette? (The answer is Este Haim.)
