Former world No. 1 T20I bowler Ravi Bishnoi is leading Rajasthan Royals’ spin bowling attack in their second match of IPL 2026, which is taking place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against Gujarat Titans on Saturday (April 4). Bishnoi came in as an impact player for the Rajasthan Royals and picked up three wickets in his first nine legal deliveries.
Ravi Bishnoi opened his wicket account by removing Sai Sudharsan (73) in his first over of the GT-RR match and then picked up Glenn Phillips‘s (3) wicket on the first ball of his second over. In an attempt to play an aerial shot of Bishnoi’s bowling, the New Zealand batter was caught by Jofra Archer.
Washington Sundar scored a boundary on the second ball of Bishnoi’s over to open his account, but on the next ball, in an attempt to play a big shot, he was also caught by Ravindra Jadeja.
The wicket of Phillips in the 13th over of GT‘s innings helped Bishnoi complete 200 dismissals in T20s, and it also helped him become the youngest Indian bowler to take 200 wickets in T20s. The former India U19 World Cup player is 25 years and 211 days old on Saturday. He has picked up his 200th wicket in the 170th T20 match.
Apart from playing for Rajasthan Royals, Bishnoi has also represented Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in the cash-rich league. He also has made 44 T20 appearances for India and picked up 64 wickets in 44 innings.
According to Cricbuzz, Bishnoi is 19th Indian bowler to take at least 200 wickets in T20s and is ninth among spinners.
Rashid Khan holds the record as the youngest to take 200 wickets in competitive T20 cricket, achieving this milestone at 23 years and 119 days old.
