It’s official: We’re heading back to Quantico this summer.
It’s been almost a year since a new episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution last aired, with the season 3 finale (or season 18 in the overall Criminal Minds franchise) premiering in the summer of 2025. Fans are eager to see David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), JJ Jareau (A.J. Cook), Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez), Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) and more back on their screens for season 4 of the Evolution series.
The wait is finally over! As the show’s official Instagram revealed on March 24, Criminal Minds: Evolution season 4 will premiere on May 28, 2026, on Paramount+. If that’s not enough, a Deadline announcement revealed that Criminal Minds: Evolution is also renewed for season 5 (a.k.a. season 20).
“The BAU is BACK 🚨,” the caption read alongside a sneak peek of the new installment. “Stream a new season of #CriminalMindsEvolution on #ParamountPlus starting May 28.”
As soon as fans learned this major news, they couldn’t hold back their excitement.
“YESSSSSS MY BABIES ARE COMING BAAAAAACKKKKKK!!!! I CANNOT WAIT!” one person screamed in the comments.
“Wheels up, besties!!!! I am ready ❤️🙌,” another cheered.
“My future profiler heart is VERY happy right now 🥹🥹 WHEELS UP YOU GUYS,” a different follower added.
In addition to a season 4 release date, we also learned that there will be some famous faces making appearances throughout the upcoming installment.
Along with the original cast, TV Insider reported that fans can expect to see actors including Justin Kirk, Yvette Nicole Brown, Clark Gregg, and more. And for those who got into the craze of Heated Rivalry on HBO Max … actor Connor Storrie (who played Ilya Rozanov) will also make a guest appearance at some point in the series.
