“Welcome to Park View Road, and a very warm welcome to all of our families joining us for today’s special Easter celebration.
“It’s fantastic to see so many local families and young people with us for what is a crucial fixture as we continue our fight for survival and to secure our status in the Isthmian Premier Division.
“Recent developments elsewhere have certainly caught the attention of the football community, and while the announcement regarding Hashtag United has provided some clarity in the relegation picture, our focus remains firmly on our own performances.

“Our destiny is still in our hands, and we must continue to earn the right to compete at Step 3. Turning what has been a challenging season into one that meets its objective is exactly what Ryan, Billy, the staff, and the squad deserve for their hard work and resilience.
“Encouragingly, our recent form has seen us climb the form table, and there is a real sense of belief building within the group.
“We know how much it means to our supporters to see the team finish strongly, and we are all committed to ending the season with energy, pride, and a flourish.

“As a club, we continue to grow both on and off the pitch, and unity across all teams remains a key priority. We are especially proud of our incoming Women’s team, who have enjoyed a fantastic season and are celebrating winning their league.
“We look forward to welcoming them to Park View Road on April 12th for their upcoming fixture, and we encourage as many supporters as possible to come along and get behind Dave Kelly and the squad as we celebrate their success.
“Many of you will have also seen the launch of our End of Season Dinner, taking place on Saturday 18th April. This promises to be a fantastic evening, bringing together everyone connected with the club. It will be an opportunity to reflect on the season, celebrate contributions both on and off the pitch, and recognise the incredible efforts of groups such as WUSA and individuals who give so much to Welling United.
“Tickets are available via our website and social media channels, and we hope to see you there.
“Finally, we would like to pay tribute to Jim O’Keefe, who sadly passed away. On behalf of everyone at the club, we send our heartfelt condolences to Jim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We hope to honour his memory in the best way possible today, with a performance and result he would have been proud of.
“Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
“Enjoy the game.”
– Paul Barnes, CEO – Welling United Football Club.
