WWE Raw preview: Pearce knows he’s making a huge mistake with Femi & Lesnar

Raw airs tonight (Apr. 6) with a live show emanating from Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. This is the sixth episode of Raw during the seven week build to WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18 and 19.

Adam Pearce knows he’s making a huge mistake with Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar

The build to WrestleMania 42 has been a huge mess, overall, but one thing WWE has nailed is the story of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar. They are once again both are scheduled to be on Raw tonight, and it sounds like Raw GM Adam Pearce knows he’s made a huge mistake by allowing that to happen. Here’s what Pearce had to say about it over the weekend while previewing Raw:

“Frankly, against my better judgment, once again I will put Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar in the same place, at the same time. What the hell is wrong with me? Am I a glutton for punishment, and will I need a drink? Tune in [Monday] night and let’s all find out together.”

Pearce took a bump at the hands of Femi last week when the two big men confronted each other in the ring. With Adam out of commission, Triple H actually had to get in the ring to separate Femi and Lesnar. If history repeats itself tonight but neither Pearce nor Triple H can get Lesnar and Femi under control this time, will Stephanie McMahon have to return to Raw again to slap someone in the face and get a “thank you” in return?

Tune into Raw to see if Brock Lesnar finally finds a way to stand tall over Oba Femi on the road to WrestleMania 42, or to see more proof that Oba Femi has The Beast’s number.

Seth Rollins kicks off Raw with a talking segment, one week after he was put to sleep by GUNTHER. Now that Rollins vs. GUNTHER is official for WrestleMania, will we find out what Paul Heyman’s relationship is with the Ring General?

Roman Reigns was beat up by an old man last week and isn’t advertised for Raw, but we will hear tonight from World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Will Punk have to deal with an angry Jimmy and Jey Uso again, due to Roman’s absence, or does CM have the floor all to himself to verbally trash Reigns and his family?

LA Knight vs. Austin Theory is scheduled for Raw. The megastar may have arranged for IShowSpeed to appear on Raw tonight after the celebrity’s mistake last week that helped Theory and YouTube douchebag Logan Paul become the new world tag team champions. Will Speed knock out Knight on purpose this time to officially set up a 6-man tag team match at WrestleMania?

Finn Balor used to be JD McDonagh’s mentor and fellow tag team champion, but now they are enemies and set to face each other in singles action tonight. After Balor (probably) wins, is there anything he can do to stop the inevitable post-match beatdown by that little shithead Dominik Mysterio and the Judgment Day?

Finally, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY reunite tonight in tag team action against Michin and B-Fab. I think either babyface would win if this was a handicap match against both heels, so the outcome here is a no-brainer. But will IYO get her own WrestleMania program with Asuka by the time the dust is settled tonight, or is being Rhea’s sidekick her only role at WWE’s biggest show of the year?

Other stuff to keep an eye on

Intercontinental Champion Penta is defending the title in a ladder match at WrestleMania 42 against Je’Von Evans, Rusev, McDonagh, and Dragon Lee. El Grande Americano is understandably not happy about being excluded from the match. Is there any time left for Grande and wrestlers from SmackDown or AAA to convince GM Adam Pearce to expand the field and let them in?

– Liv Morgan suddenly has the advantage over Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer now that Roxanne Perez is back on Raw. How will Vaquer respond after Liv beat her ass last week and called her a stupid bitch?

– Does WWE plan to add some kind of gimmick or stipulation to the WrestleMania 42 women’s Intercontinental title match between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch? Or is it just a standard rematch from their singles bout at Elimination Chamber?

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend are very good at kicking the asses of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Lyra Valkyria, Bayley, and the Bella Twins. Will all of these other women finally work together one of these days to lay out the Irresistible Forces?

– Are Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ready to kick Grayson Waller to the curb for being useless and actively hurting their ability to win matches?

– Danhausen’s curse on SmackDown rendered referee Dan Engler momentarily incapable of finishing a three count during a match. Will someone on Raw see what’s happening and try to use the curse to their advantage by luring Danhausen in to accidentally curse their enemy?

– Even if the script doesn’t call for it tonight, will WWE Champion Cody Rhodes show up on Raw to trash TKO and/or ESPN execs for ruining his WrestleMania feud via the stench of Pat McAfee?

– Where the f*** is Royce Keys?

What will you be looking for on Raw?
