There are two pieces to these biographies that seem so improbable that they have to be made up.
The first is this: Both MLB players named Max Muncy were drafted by the Oakland Athletics. There’s essentially a 1-in-30 chance of that.
The second is this: They were both born on August 25, albeit 12 years apart. Yep, they share a birthday. The odds of that are, in concept, 1-in-365.
You’re looking at a 1-in-10,950 chance just that Muncy and Muncy were born on the same date and drafted by the same MLB team.
That doesn’t account for the fact that they also had to become talented enough to play professional baseball, and then in this case make it to the major leagues.

The Max Muncy who plays for the Dodgers is officially Maxwell Steven Muncy.
