Matthew McConaughey Is Totally Unrecognizable With Fluffy Blonde Pigtails and Pale Pink Feather Robe

Matthew McConaughey has come a long way since his earliest days in Hollywood. In fact, he’s come so far that his latest look has rendered him genuinely unrecognizable.

The actor, who turned 56 this past November, shared a new photo of himself on Instagram rocking bright blonde pigtails and a full beard. “The pleasure is good for you,” the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star wrote in the accompanying caption.

In the colorful snapshot, the Interstellar star is lounging on a blue tennis court in white tennis shoes, tropical patterned shorts, and a pale pink robe trimmed in feathers. He’s also wearing a large silver pendant necklace, glasses on a chain, and an off-white fanny pack. A red and black Wilson tennis racket lies on the ground under his left foot.

McConaughey’s eclectic new look comes amid a very sporty season for the actor, who cheered on the University of Texas women’s basketball team during their March Madness run last month while simultaneously supporting Austin’s professional men’s soccer team Austin FC. McConaughey is a minority owner in the latter team and is also a UT alum.

This past February, McConaughey and his wife, Camilla Alves, celebrated Valentine’s Day and an impressive 20 years together (they met in a nightclub back in 2006).

“Still enjoying our stroll,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post. Following their meet-cute, the couple tied the knot in 2012 and currently share three children: 17-year-old Levi, 16-year-old Vida, and 13-year-old Livingston.

“Since that evening, I have not wanted to spend time with any other woman, definitely have not wanted to sleep with anyone else,” McConaughey told People of introducing himself to Alves in ’06. “I’ve not wanted to have children with anyone else other than her. We have a love that we never question.”
