Josh Hokit has verbal altercation with Jiri Prochazka, cuts bizarre ‘human centipede’ promo

Josh Hokit is doing everything he can to be noticed.

At UFC 327 media day on Wednesday, the undefeated heavyweight prospect had a verbal altercation with Jiri Prochazka in a hotel lobby prior to taking his turn at the microphone.

In a video posted on Twitter by Gifdsports, Hokit can be seen exchanging words with Prochazka before being led away.

“Stay where you are,” Prochazka said.

“I’ll cut you up with this lightsaber, homie,” Hokit said, prop in hand. “And then f*cking stitch your head on Alex Pereira’s body, homie.”

That was the end of his interaction with Prochazka, but Hokit continued his rant in a bizarre promo on stage in front of reporters.

“Listen, I’m going to take out No. 4 and I’m going to saw off his head and put it on Alex Pereira’s body and then I’m going to take No. 3 and stitch it to the anus of No. 2 and then I’m going to take No. 2’s head and stick it the anus of No. 1, creating some type of ‘human centipede’ where ‘The Incredible Hok’ will put it on a leash and walk it in his front yard.”

Hokit then proceeded to change characters, attempting to speak in some sort of accent while making racist jokes based on Latin American stereotypes. His scrum didn’t last long, though he was asked about his confrontation with Prochazka.

“I’m just letting everybody know how f*cking down I am, homie,” Hokit said. “I’m the downest vato in the world, homie. … I’m f*cking down, dog. I don’t care who you are, dog. We can make an open division and we can all fight, dog. Cutting weight’s for cowards, homie. Straight up, the down vato doesn’t f*cking cut no weight, homie. Straight up, dog.”

After continuing to bomb on stage, Hokit’s scrum soon came to a merciful end.

It’s unclear why Hokit initially confronted Prochazka, with the two not in the same division and with big fights ahead of them Saturday. Prochazka takes on Carlos Ulberg for a light heavyweight title in the main event (after the belt was vacated by Prochazka’s rival Alex Pereira, who moves up to heavyweight), while Hokit has a chance to knock off a top 10 opponent if he can beat veteran heavyweight Curtis Blaydes also on the main card.
