Golfer Xander Schauffele is no stranger to the spotlight, and he’ll take center stage once again during the 2026 Masters Tournament, set for Thursday, April 9, through Sunday, April 12, in Augusta, Georgia. Now, Schauffele is making an career splash just days before the event.
Schauffele, a San Diego native, has scored two majors now, the 2024 PGA and Open, and an Olympic gold medal, and he makes it all seems so easy. Now, Schauffele enters the 2026 Masters as a top contender, with between his odds at +1500 to win, according to research from CBS Sports. What makes him stand apart is that he has a consistent form that regularly delivers.
So, Schauffele has packed his bags and is heading to Augusta, hoping for another monumental event. Ahead of the trip, he took to social media to let the world know that when he’s playing at the Masters, he’ll be supporting on particular brand.

On Monday, April 6, just days before the Masters tournament, Schauffele took to social media to put up a collaborative post with clothing brand Descente and let people know about his deal with the company. In the post, he’s seen playing golf in their attire, and the company gives him a shout out.
“As the Masters Tournament begins this week, Descente cheers on Xander Schauffele every step of the way,” the brand said in the post. “Dressed in our latest performance wear, he channels the same dedication to preparation that keeps every detail dialed in, from fabric comfort to unrestricted movement.”
Descente adds, “Treating apparel as essential equipment, Xander ensures nothing distracts from the game, allowing total focus on every shot at Augusta National. The pursuit of the green jacket is underway.”
“Xander I’ll be cheering for you to finally capture that green jacket,” one follower said, in a show of support.
Masters 2026 is Looking Good as Far as the Weather is Concerned
So, will it be sunny at the 2026 Masters, or will golfers have to deal with rain and delays? Well, it’s shaping up to be a dry and picture-perfect Masters week, as far as the weather.
According to a report from AccuWeather, the best chance for rain at the tournament is Thursday, April 9, but even then, it’s just a 20 percent chance of rain, which is very low. By Sunday, April 12, expect a zero percent chance of rain and warm weather, with a high of 84 degrees.
Early Masters events were plagued with rain and storms, so the event got off to a rocky start. “The 1936, 1938 and 1939 Masters all included a postponed round with multiple rounds then being played on a subsequent day,” AccuWeather states in a historical piece.
They add, “How much of a different time was it? The winner received $1,500 for each of those tournaments, the equivalent of about $28,000 in 2019.” The 2025 winner, Scottie Scheffler, received $2.7 million.
So, the Masters is looking to be a beautiful week to be on the course. Now, it’s Schauffele’s chance to show the golf world why he belongs among the best.
