Enter Anyma. If you’ve seen clips of his shows, with massive humanoid visuals, surreal digital landscapes and what appear to be robotic musicians, you’ve probably had the same question as half the internet: What is he actually doing up there?
With weekend one kicking off, the Italian DJ and producer is set to debut his new audiovisual project, ÆDEN, at Coachella 2026 and it’s already shaping up to be one of the festival’s most ambitious productions.

What does Anyma actually do live?
Short answer: it’s complicated.
Anyma’s performances blur the line between DJ set, live production and full-scale visual installation. While he does use controllers (including Ableton-based setups) to mix and manipulate music in real time, a huge portion of the show is tightly choreographed, meaning the music, visuals and lighting are all synced down to the second.
His recent run at Sphere in Las Vegas was in this format, blending electronic music with cinematic visuals and narrative-driven sequences. Rather than a traditional “watch the DJ” experience, it’s more like stepping into a digital world.
The new ÆDEN project expands on that idea. Inspired by art history and futuristic themes, the show is designed as a kind of “digital renaissance,” with large-scale visuals, character-driven storytelling and a heavy emphasis on immersion.
Will there be special guests?
Very possibly. Coachella is famous for surprise appearances and Anyma’s recent collaboration with BLACKPINK’s LISA (“Bad Angel”) dropped just this week—so don’t rule anything out.
