Isle of Man population survey to take place

Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford said it was “an important opportunity to take a snapshot of life on our island and to ensure that the information government uses to plan services, shape policies and for decision making reflects the Isle of Man as it is today”.

The interim census will contain a shorter set of questions than the one used in the full census of 2021.

It will “still provide vital insight into population and communities,” said Ashford.

More information about the census and how it should be completed is set to be released later this month.

A full census is held once a decade on the island, with an interim survey held at the halfway point.
