The boxer’s Netflix reality show is back and fans may notice his mother is absent from the series

Tyson Fury’s family take centre stage in the boxer’s Netflix reality programme, though fans may notice his mother’s absence.
The heavyweight champion is back with popular docuseries At Home with the Furys, featuring wife Paris and their seven children. The programme initially launched in 2023, before going on an extended hiatus.
It has now made its comeback with 10 new episodes available to stream on Netflix. This series offers viewers a glimpse into Tyson’s attempted retirement, while Paris juggles emerging business ventures alongside hectic family life in Morecambe, reports the Mirror.
Audiences also see appearances from Tyson’s boxer sibling Tommy Fury, and his father John. Yet many have been left curious by the absence of Tyson’s mother.

Amber Fury is Tyson’s mother. While her son has established his legacy in boxing’s elite, she’s maintained a low profile. She remains intensely private and doesn’t appear on the Netflix programme.
This is presumably due to her preference for an ordinary life, regardless of her family’s fame. No photographs of Amber exist online, with the boxer acknowledging “it’s crazy” that she has completely avoided public attention.
He told Irish Mirror: “I looked on Google the other day and there’s not one picture of my mother on the internet. That’s crazy isn’t it?
“She has never been to one of my boxing fights, amateur or professional and never been in the public eye at all. She’s a private person. That’s her priority, not mine.”

Tyson also disclosed that his mother doesn’t fully grasp the extent of her son’s celebrity status. In his autobiography, Behind The Mask, he penned: “To be honest, my mum doesn’t fully understand what I have achieved as a boxer.
“I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn’t understand it.
“I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world and a lot of people had watched me and supported me. That was actually very special.”
While his mother remains absent from the series, Tyson’s father John features prominently throughout. John and Amber were formerly married and have four children together, including Tyson, Shane and Hugh. Tragically, their daughter, Ramona, passed away shortly after birth.
