Coronation Street spoilers follow from Sunday’s episode (12 April), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper finds himself in danger tonight as he gets caught in the crosshairs of Mal Roper’s revenge plot. Mal, who has been obsessed with Bernie Winter-Alahan, was thought to have left the cobbles for good.
Last week Jodie revealed she’d been flooding Mal’s business with negative reviews, causing him to decide to go back home to Inverness, much to Bernie’s relief.

But Mal wasn’t gone yet, as Friday’s episode showed him watching on as Roy and Nina headed off on their bat-watching trip.
Tonight, Jodie will arrive for work to find Roy in the cafe, having left his trip early after feeling unwell.
Roy will tell her the cafe won’t be opening today as, aside from his illness, they have no electricity.
As Jodie puts a sign on the door saying the cafe is closed, Mal is seen looking on.

Later Carla, Bernie, and Dev see smoke coming from the cafe but believe Roy is still on his trip.
As they call for help, Jodie will arrive and tell them Roy is trapped inside. Running inside the cafe to save him, Jodie will come face to face with Mal who is dousing the place in petrol.
But when Jodie informs him that Roy is asleep upstairs they both go to pull him out of the flat. Thankfully, the pair will manage to save Roy, just before Mal attempts to escape.
When Jodie explains that Mal set the fire, Kit chases after him and places him under arrest. Mal will then warn Kit he’s going to regret his actions.

Later, at the hospital, Bernie will try to confront Mal, who says she needs to shoulder some of the blame for what happened.
But Mal’s words will ring true for Bernie who tells Dev it’s all her fault from bringing him into their lives.
